Richard Frampton, the Conservative candidate for Bransgore & Burley Ward, celebrated victory after being overwhelmingly elected to New Forest District Council. UKIP called the by-election following the sad passing of popular local Conservative councillor Ann Hickman. The results were:

Turnout was 24%. The Conservatives won a massive 77% of the votes cast.
